A Quick and Easy Stress-Relief Tip

A lot of people are suffering from the “Winter Blues” right around this time of the year. (It’s also referred to as Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD)
Do you know what one of the main causes is? Lack of sunshine.
A quick and easy way that you can de-stress and pull yourself out of that “blue” state is to get outside for just 15 minutes during the day and soak up some of that natural Vitamin D that the sun’s rays provide.
Can you spare 15 minutes if it means lowering your stress levels?
How about taking a short walk on your lunch break? Grab a friend to go with you so you can keep each other motivated.
If a walk doesn’t appeal to you, sit on a park bench or in your yard. Leave the phone, the mp3 player, the laptop inside, and just soak in the beauty of the day.
Pray or meditate as you’re walking or sitting and see how much better it makes you feel!
Empty your mind of your problems. Giving yourself just those few minutes of peace can renew and refresh you to tackle your problems from a different vantage point.
If you have kids, take them outside as often as you can – they need the sunshine too!
This technique may seem overly simple, but it’s very effective. Best of all, it doesn’t cost you any money to do!
